The project
Bolt Training Gym is an app for gym members: sign up, see the week's classes, book a spot and discover the venue's spaces. I worked on the design end to end: brand research, information architecture, user flows, the design system and the screens, in a dark mode with an orange accent and training photography as the star.
User types
Gym member
Signs up with their ID, books classes (or joins the waitlist), explores spaces and services, meets the instructors and manages their account and bookings.
What I designed
01
Architecture and user flows
Before drawing screens I built the app map (onboarding, home, bookings, spaces, notifications and account) and flow diagrams for each journey, like sign-up with ID verification.
02
Design system
Colors, condensed typography, spacing, icons, buttons and navigation documented as reusable components, with orange as the main action over a black background.
03
Step-by-step sign-up
Sign-up is split into 6 short steps, from confirming identity with the ID number to medical conditions, with visible progress and confirmation messages at each step.
04
Class booking
A weekly strip to pick the day, a list with instructor, time and spots (green or red by availability) and a class detail with a single button to book.
05
Waitlist
When a class is full, instead of a dead end, the app offers to join the waitlist and notifies when a spot opens up.
06
Spaces, services and instructors
A directory of spaces (spa, café, daycare, spinning, weight room, English room) with hours and booking, and instructor profiles with socials and their classes.
