Parkeate is DeepCompany's parking management platform: self-service kiosks, a POS system for cashiers, a mobile app for drivers, an admin backoffice and its website. My work focused on the landing page, the design system and the screens, navigation and user flows for the kiosk and the POS system, backed by research with a persona, empathy map, user journey and backoffice architecture. DeepCompany runs the product and it remains in ongoing development.
User types
Driver
Uses the kiosk or the mobile app to pay their ticket, register their vehicle and plan, and review their entry and exit history.
Cashier
Works the POS system: issues tickets, takes payments, checks rates and does the pre-closing and closing of the register.
Administration
Oversees operations from the backoffice: barriers, users, servers, metrics and ERP orders.
What I designed
01
Research and user flows
A persona (a 35-year-old driver who wants to avoid queues), their empathy map and user journey, plus flow diagrams for the app and the POS (maintenance and parking) and the backoffice architecture.
02
Self-service kiosk
A start screen with a single gesture (“Toca para comenzar”), a three-step payment explanation (scan your ticket, pay, take your receipt) and large buttons for card payment.
03
POS for cashiers
Cashier sign-in, a main screen with the ticket detail, the vehicle photo and totals, a modal to issue tickets and a side menu with register closing and pre-closing.
04
Design system
Indigo and lime colors with neutrals and states, three type families (DM Sans, Urbanist and Afacad), grids for kiosk, backoffice, landing and mobile, and buttons and navigation per product.
05
Mobile app
A six-step sign-up (details, password, vehicle, parking, plan and payment method), sign-in with a Google option, password recovery, profile and ticket history.
06
Backoffice and website
A dashboard with barriers, users, servers and metrics, an ERP orders list, and the landing page and blog in mobile version.
